Shepherd's Cottage has recently been beautifully refurbished after a long let and is now available for holidays. This romantic cottage is an off grid, remote and private paradise - an ideal place to celebrate anniversaries or weddings.
It has a king size double bedroom and comfortable sitting room with magnificent views.
The cottage is a forty five minute walk along the North Channel coastal path from the island jetty.
This charming cottage has been completely renovated with tongue and groove interiors throughout. Beautiful details such as a spacious bathroom with Victorian roll top bath and lashings of hot water, a large king size double bedroom and a comfortable sitting room with magnificent views.
It is off grid, cooking is by gas, the fridge runs on gas and lighting is by gas lamps (tuition will be given on arrival as to how to manage them). Heating and hot water is run from the stove, water is from a private spring. Fresh peaty water is safe to drink (more information on our FAQ).

Dogs are welcome with a cleaning supplement. We advise dog owners that there are ticks in the Highlands and it’s important to guard their dogs with anti-tick treatment for their visit.
A rib is used to transport you to the island on arrival and departure days. A Quad and Trailer will transport your luggage and provisions to your cottage then again on departure ( South Shore only by boat) and there is the opportunity to leave the island on a Wednesday for sightseeing or shopping. Journeys outside this can be negotiated but subject to charge.
We provide, towels, bed linens, oven gloves and tea towels. We also provide you with essential amenities such as a starter pack of toilet roll, kindling firelighters and matches. If you run out of any amenities, you can buy them in our island shop.
For guests that would like to stay connected, we provide free wifi access from the village hall for all our cottages.
