Eilean Shona House

With locally sourced food and specially selected wines, there is no doubt that dining on Eilean Shona takes island living to a another level. With our exceptional chefs, guests of Eilean Shona House will experience hearty home cooked breakfasts before setting out for the day. Followed by beach picnics or Bothy feasts and home to sundowner drinks on Contemplation Point and three course meals. The surrounding sea provides the freshest delights from homegrown mussels cooked on the beach to ice cold fresh oysters shucked with sand between your toes. All meals are prepared with much thought and always with our sustainable ethos in mind. Celebration meals can be held on Shoe Bay, the Picnic Bothy and the Village Hall as well. Our chefs' menus are seasonal and bespoke to your requirements. With our partnership with Jeroboams, we have an outstanding range of wines and spirits to complement your meals. We are also proud to supply our own Eilean Shona whiskey and gin blended with our very own island botanicals, along with Sapling, a sustainable English vodka, co-founded by Ivo, one of the island guardians.


All of our cottages are self-catered but we have our island shop that stocks essentials and some tempting treats. Along with staples such as wine, homemade bread, butter, milk, we also provide wonderful frozen homemade fish pies and venison casseroles, made by Jill, our favourite local chef. These can be pre-ordered, along with wine, and will be delivered to your cottage prior to your arrival. Details will be provided on booking confirmation.

Tuesday night is pub night
