Eilean Shona nestles in the entrance to Loch Moidart on the West Coast of Scotland and there are several ways to get to here:
Drive
London – 10 Hours
Manchester – 7 Hours
Edinburgh – 4 hours
Inverness – 3 hours
Glasgow – 3.5 hours
Fly / Train / Drive
The island is between three and four hours drive from both Glasgow and Inverness. There are daily international to both of these airports. From there you can rent a car and these routes will take you through some of Scotland’s most dramatic landscapes. Another option is to take a day train to Glasgow or Edinburgh and then hire a car to drive to Dorlin Pier. Train / Taxi
The Caledonian Sleeper runs from London Euston to Fort William six nights a week. Leaving London at 9pm and arriving the following morning at 10am. From Fort William, it is an hour taxi ride to the jetty on the mainland. For larger parties the local bus company will pick you up.
